I read The Last Song on the day before I came back to school from spring break. I had a day on the greyhound and I had never actually read a Nicolas Sparks book so I figured why not. I actually really liked it, possibly because I haven't read a "beach read" type book in a while so it was refreshing. I related to certain aspects quite a bit and i found myself crying at a number of parts. I'd definitely recommend it for a day read. I am going to see the movie this Friday and I hope I wont be too disappointed(I am always disappointed with movies if I've read the book prior to the movie) but I'm going to stick to my new strategy of thinking of books and movies as two completely different works. Well there's my shpeel on that subject. Hope all lis well with all.
