tease

hey sleep?
why don't you like me anymore?
you tease me and when i finally get you, you realize how much we like eachother and never want to let me go back to reality
and then you forget how much you like me once again
your tactics are not good for me
this run-around has got to stop.
please.
tease.
tonight i...
wrote a paper
listened to an hour's worth of Harry Potter 7 audiobook
listened to an hour long French lesson
listened to 2 entire cds (The Libertines and Rilo Kiley)
watched the 330 Federer-Djokivic semi-final
i think i'm going to rename this time since i'm with it so often...

slow release

I haven't written more that a few lines of song in years until twenty minutes ago when i started and couldn't stop.
i have never even finished a song and i just did in 20 minutes.
i may have made it so i'm now skipping my french class for the day
but I think what I did is so much more important.
I've had art block for a long time
I've had tons of ideas but i never follow through.
I think I have burrowed through the snag i've been stuck at.
i really do.

golden
Like many my favorite part of award shows is the fashion. This year however I found myself a little disappointed at this golden globes. I think there was too much predictability and not enough how should i put this...trying? Despite this I still thought a number of people got it right. Here are my top pic(k)s.
Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Privé - I kind of thought this was a little predictable(It reminded me of her Oscar 2009 dress with the sequins) but she looked fabulous. The long sleeves, backless, and shoulder pads were a lot but they worked.
Claire Danes in Calvin Klein - She's always pretty simplistic in her fashion and this time was no exception. Simple is great.
Leighton Meester in Burberry - I'm sure many would disagree but I really liked this gown but more than anything I loooooved the fabric, I want a dress in that fabric so terribly bad. I personally think she should have worn this to one of the Country Strong Premieres and not the one or other one she did.
Olivia Wilde in Marchesa - I'm not sure I loved that this was such a difference from every other gown(I personally think it belonged at the Oscars) but you can't deny that this dress is a beauty. and the shoes were awesome! I only wish she would have put her hair up, I think it weighs down the dress this way.
Catherine Zeta-Jones in Monique Lhuillier - I loved this gown, I think it was the most beautiful of the night and she wore it well (though I think it would be a little more age appropriate with someone a tad younger). The color and fabric was ah-maze-ing!
and my personal favorite:
Emma Stone in - Calvin Klein I think Emma looked drop end gorgeous, the peach dress, lightly tanned skin and blonde hair worked wonders. I think this is the prettiest I have ever seen her. Though I didn't at first I'm liking her blonde.
